Surprise , Surprise... you can actually do this

I have indeed been surprised. I've been actively working on a novel for 24 days more or less, by getting up every morning at 5 am and going through to my computer cave to write. I am the kind of person who in storytelling, whether it be a movie script or a novel, needs to work with a plan. So I plan, and in quite a lot of detail. When it comes to storytelling I am most definitely not a "seat of the pants" type writer. Like many things I do, I need a clear mental path first, I may jump into the doing part fairly speedily but first I need a planned story route, with proper structure. Then I find it so much easier to infuse the flavour and intrigue into the story. I guess it could me my penchant for precision and accuracy. So here we are about four weeks in and I'm enjoying the process... and that's all I have to say right now.... I guess....I can actually do this.  I feels weird saying that but, I never considered being a novelist before. But now, I like the idea.

shiny new things in the sunlight

Recently David Lynch passed away. In several of his videos and masterclasses he mentions the value of getting ideas or catching ideas.  In my workings on my first novel I've noticed how querying certain scientific or tech things through ChatGPT has not only provided or confirmed ideas, or things I wanted to know, but it, ChatGPT, has also provided me new avenues of thought and spawned extra story ideas.  Its an interesting time to be a creative...

Another day another dollar....

Finally, I get an email letting me know that there is no longer any waiting list for ComfyUI, specifically the desktop version. I'd been wanting to get into ComfyUI more extensively but specifically with the new desktop app because I find the web app refreshes way too slowly and in learning comfyUI, I want to iterate on my ideas faster.  Then of course there is the issue of my desire for a much improved GPU. Part of me says this is connected to my portfolio and I think this is very much true, but, I have decided to agonise less about HOW the end result is achieved and just get to the end result.  Currently I have had a much increased focus on writing, and I am glad for this, as this will graduate from my novel to a graphic novel too, (the reason for wanting to use ComfyUI more). The same content I may yet condense it to a screenplay, but my primary focus for the output of my content to potential paying mediums first.....
